‘you’ your’ - The customer

We guarantee that the goods that we supply will be to the correct specification as advertised however we are unable to guarantee precise compatibility or suitability for your vehicle. It is the responsibility of the customer to check this prior to ordering and fitting. We try to ensure that all information provided is as accurate as possible.

We reserve the right to accept or reject any order for any reason whatsoever.

No order will be considered binding unless and until it is accepted by us.

Payments

All prices quoted are in £ sterling.

We may accept cash payments at our premises upon prior agreement.

 

Delivery

Where delivery prices are quoted or where the item is marked as ‘free delivery’ this applies to UK mainland addresses only – for example certain areas of the Highlands, Northern Scotland, Isle of Man, Ireland (this list is not exhaustive) may attract a surcharge.

If you believe your postcode may attract an additional courier charge please contact us for a quote at the earliest opportunity to avoid delay in receiving your order.

International orders are accepted and we are able to deliver many items worldwide. Please contact us for a personalised quote.

We dispatch goods daily from our warehouse and our standard delivery method is a next day courier service. Many customers receive their goods within 24 hours of purchase, however you should generally expect to receive your order within 3 working days of cleared payment.

Larger items may need to be delivered via pallet and will take longer to arrive.

If there may be access issues at the delivery address please advise prior to ordering to enable suitable arrangements to be made.  

We can give you an estimated date of dispatch for your order.

Please be aware delays may occur due to public holidays, inclement weather, strike action, network disruption etc

If the delivery date may not be met for whatever reason we will try to keep you informed of any delays and when you can expect delivery. Whilst we make every effort to keep to stated delivery times, we cannot be held liable for any losses or costs incurred as a result of a failure to meet estimated delivery dates and times.

Any damage to your delivery must be advised to us as soon as possible and within 7 days of delivery.

Provided that this notice is given, we will arrange to replace, repair or refund the goods.

All goods are offered subject to stocks and availability.

If stock is not available we reserve the right to cancel the contract and offer a refund.

 

Returns

Important - Distance Selling

Under The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel a contract within fourteen days of taking delivery of the goods. You have the right to cancel for any reason.

If you wish to cancel you may wish to use the model cancellation form below, but you are not obliged to.

Alternative methods of cancelling are via email ‘sales@jmcautosalvage.co.uk’, or, if you purchased from us using a third party platform, using the returns process via that website.

Once you have cancelled, you have a legal "duty of care" to take good care of the goods.

You have a further 14 days to return the goods safely to us.

You must return the goods to us at your expense to our address above / below.

If it is more convenient, we may arrange collection by our couriers at your request; any costs incurred will be deducted from your final refund.

We will refund you the full amount paid for the goods, less any costs to collect the goods if applicable, within 14 days of receiving them back.

 

Faulty goods

All our items are USED but are sold in working / functional condition UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED. If you are unsure of the condition of a part please contact us prior to purchase.

In the event of failure a replacement part will be supplied. If a replacement part cannot be found in a reasonable amount of time the full purchase price will be refunded.

Replacement or refund will only be given if the goods are returned in the same condition as supplied with the security marks still visible.

All our parts are tested and in working order and in good used condition. Unfortunately, parts can become damaged in storage or transit.

It is strongly recommended that parts are checked and tested by your mechanic PRIOR to fitting.

We will NOT reimburse any labour costs/charges involved with fitting, removal and/or changing of parts supplied by us, under any circumstances.

 

 

Warranties

Our goods are covered by a 30 day warranty unless otherwise specified.

Items listed as (for example) ‘SPARES / REPAIR’ or ‘UNTESTED’ are exempt from warranty

Goods will NOT be supplied with fixings unless otherwise stated.

It is the responsibility of the customer to source any nuts/bolts required to enable secure and safe fitting of our goods.

Engines must be correctly fitted with new cam & auxiliary belts, oil, oil filters & spark plugs. Any failure to follow these terms will invalidate the warranty.

Engines are sold as bare engines. Any ancillary/service parts that may be supplied with engines including water pumps, cam belts, turbos etc have NOT been tested & are provided free of charge. These parts are NOT covered by any warranty.

ECUs & electrical items are non refundable as a result of potential damage caused by in-correct fitting or other faults in customer vehicles.

We will not cover any component which has been incorrectly fitted, dismantled or tampered with (other than the replacement of standard service parts or components).

Please note: We strongly recommend that all safety critical parts are fitted ONLY by fully qualified mechanics.

NO liability can be accepted for malfunction, damage or injury caused by inappropriate fitting of such components.

Privacy Statement

We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our customers - we will only use information that we have collected about you lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 .

The only information that we collect is necessary for the processing/verifying of your order and delivery of your goods - this includes name, address, phone numbers, e-mail address.

We will not give, sell or swap your details with any third party companies.
